Content Marketing Intern

Black Lapel is not your average menswear company. We are a group of young, tech-savvy and stylishly-inclined individuals with the grand vision of disrupting the men's fashion industry and bringing custom clothing--suits, shirts and accessories--to the front and center of every man's wardrobe.


This internship for someone who is focused on the nuts and bolts of content marketing in the 21st century. You’ll work on a fast-paced marketing team that is constantly working on new campaigns and promotions, attracting new leads, educating and entertaining our audience, and analyzing our wins and losses.

Here’s what your responsibilities will look like:

  • Write for assets such as: website copy, product copy, blog content for The Compass, email, and social media
  • Assist on production of The Compass, our style blog
  • Report on content performance
  • SEO Research - Are there search engine results where we should appear but we don’t? You’re the one to break this bad news to us (and spur us to do something about it).
  • Keyword Research - We want you to uncover new terms and keyword opportunities using our web presence management platform, Conductor.
  • Optimize HTML tags, image attributes, and page copy
  • Market Research - report on search terms and content trends that haven’t yet been explored on


  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Comfortable in spreadsheets and strong analytical ability
  • Knowledge of SEO
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must be a self-starter
  • Fashion/menswear interest is a plus
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics is a major plus
  • Must be a sophomore, junior, or senior currently enrolled in college.

***Available as a full or part-time internship and includes a weekly stipend.***
